Welcome to another Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop! I feel so blessed to be the leader of this group of talented Close To My Heart women, they are amazing!! The Stampers with an Attitude are excited to show artwork with a Focus on Paper Fundamentals. You are going to love this new paper product!! It's hard to photograph but it is SO star wars cool!! You get 20 double-sided 12x12" sheets (2 each of 10 designs), same design on both sides, one side with gloss resist patterns (my favorite), tone on tone, and the other side is basic color palette and white. Trust me, you NEED this paper to add to your stash, there is nothing out there like this!!
If you've come here from the very busy and very technology connected Keeley Kirwan ~ http://keeleyskreations.blogspot.com, then you are on the right path. This blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.
This layout is of my kids and some dear friends at Disney in 1998, the oldest one is at college at Neumont University, my daughter is on a mission in Wisconsin, and the baby is in 10th grade!! My how time flies!! They are so precious here!! I loved scrapbooking and reliving these Happy memories! I hope you take the time to record yours as well!
I chose to create a Disney Layout using the Black Chevron gloss resist pattern. I think the glossy black pattern goes hand in hand with Disney!! But this layout is very versatile it could easily be used for any occasion. I also used 1 of the new embossing folders: the Dots. We have 4 other designs to choose from though! I cut my Cranberry cardstock to 4"x12". Then I opened the embossing folder and put it inside, I was sure to line up the DOTS so that I could easily line it up AGAIN and put it through again so that I could make a 12" piece. Our embossing folders are the only folders I've seen on the market that have a slot in the top so that you can line up your paper and emboss a long strip of paper--HIP HIP HOORAH!!!
Then I distressed the dots by running over the top of them with our sanding block to take off the red layer and let our white core show through to make red dotted paper. (Gotta love our white core!!) I also used the Jubilee papers and matching Complements and Red Baker's Twine from the Harvest Assortment as well as Yellow Baker's Twine from the Paradise Assortment. At the end of this post, you can find photos and links to these products on my website.
