Registration Fee: Your nonrefundable registration is $50. Registration fee covers all the consumable supplies provided to make the projects. Money is due in full on August 1. Registration will close on August 20 or when we have 15 attendees. Registration is nonrefundable but you can sell your registration to someone else on our team OR you can participate by mail. You can sell your spot to another consultant on our team if you are unable to attend by advertising the spot on our team yahoo group--stampattitude. If you are unable to sell your spot, you will receive all the materials. Registration is first come, first served, open to my first through fifth downline.
Registration is NONREFUNDABLE as $ will be spent according to the number of attendees. Most supplies for the classes will be provided for you, you’ll need to provide your own adhesives and you may want to bring some additional stamp sets and inkpads (you’ll get a list) so that you don’t have to share, but one set will be provided by the teacher. You will be provided the following: Flip Flaps (New assortment); Mix & Mingle Album; New Clear Cards; 6x6 Accordian Album; On Target Dimensional Elements; Christmas Ornament Dimensional Elements.
Only active consultants are allowed to attend, no friends, sisters, or mothers, etc., unless they sign up to be a consultant prior to August 20.
When I receive your registration $, you will be invited to a yahoogroup that is specifically for the holiday stamp camp and you will receive all stamp camp correspondence from this yahoogroup so that we don’t have to bombard stampattitude with our plans.
Secret Sisters (optional): Each person that wants to participate in the secret sister exchange will fill out a questionnaire. You will need to make ONE $15 gift or goodie bag/basket/box for your secret sister and vice versa. Gifts can be organizing tools or altered items and should generally be related to papercrafting. When making a handmade gift, please remember to use CURRENT Close to My Heart products so that we can use them for our business. Everyone wants a handmade gift as they are much more precious than a $15 bag of product. You will be emailed a questionnaire to complete and you will be emailed your secret sisters name/questionnaire prior to stamp camp so you can prepare a nice gift for her.
Silent Auction: If you would like to bring a handstamped/papercrafted item using ONLY Close to My Heart products for our silent auction, we will be holding a silent auction during stamp camp. All proceeds will be donated to Close to My Heart for Operation Smile.
Contest: We will be having a papercraft/handmade/stamped ornament contest. Bring one ornament that you made using CTMH products or that you have altered and stamped. We will vote and the ornament with the most votes will receive a prize (you will go home with your ornament!
Transportation, Lodging, Food: Each camper will need to provide her own lodging, snacks, drinks, transportation, and food. The stamp camp will be held at my home. My entire downstairs is open and I can accommodate quite a crowd downstairs. WARNING: I have three rather large rambunctious dogs (they will be locked outside during stamp camp, but generally they live downstairs where stamp camp occurs, I also have a long-haired car, she lives upstairs and we will keep her locked in my bedroom so if you have allergies, please come prepared). My children leave directly from school to go to their dad’s house for their scheduled visitation (we never really know what will happen with that, so we just carry on and hope for the best) and are not scheduled to return until Sunday after 7:30 p.m. I am going to make a doctor’s appointment for someone in the morning so that I can legitimately take the day off, it’s the second week of school for my kinders and I’ll just have to see how well that is going to judge whether or not I’m taking a half day or an entire day. So I may or may not be home prior to stamp camp starting, so if you plan to arrive early, you may want to find some sights to see (not hard to do in Las Vegas!).
If you are flying into Las Vegas, the airport code is LAS. If you can try to share cabs from the airport to my home, it will save you some $ or try to fly in at the same time as other people so that we can arrange to pick you up all at the same time that would be GREAT! The airport isn’t far but depending on traffic and the time of day can take anywhere from 20 mins to 1 hour each way. Of course when you leave we can just leave at 3:00 from my house and drop everyone off at my house, so please arrange your flights to leave after 5:00 p.m.
Nearby hotels: Last year campers stayed at two separate hotels, they are about equal distance from my home. The Fiesta/Henderson is off the Freeway and is a bigger venue, it’s a hotel/casino/movie theatre and has restaurants and anything you would ever need inside. (Do not do Fiesta/Rancho, it is VERY far away), it is VERY close to my house, I live REALLY close to the freeway but in a part of town removed from everything on the edge of Black Mountain, it’s really quiet. If you like a quieter venue, here is another option, on Boulder Highway, Sue and Trish stayed here last year and gave good reviews, a smaller hotel, FREE breakfast. You travel neighborhood streets from my home to get to Hawthorne Inn. Hawthorn Inn
I have two couches available and if you would like to bring aerobeds, bedding, we have a loft/family room upstairs that is the size of a two-car garage that can sleep a lot of people, however, we only have 2 ½ baths so the showers would have to be on a rotating basis. But it makes stamp camp WAY more affordable if you want to rough it a little. (Another secret about stamp camp at my home—some meals will be provided, so now that you’ve been warned, NO complaints about FREE food or accommodations. Just to warn you, I am not a princess, so I am trying to paint a picture of the reality here so there are NO SURPRISES!)
