Tie Dyed Easter Eggs

Nothing like eating Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans while tye dying easter eggs with the kids! I'm so glad my kids are still young enough to want to (and enjoy) coloring easter eggs (they don't like eating them as much as they like making them--I think I remember that being a problem when I was a kid, some things never change). I remember hunting easter eggs in my grandparents back yard EVERY easter! We were so excited to go outside and hunt them, anticipation waiting for the Easter bunny to hide them! Then they would take movies of us all dressed up in our fancy easter dresses..... I so wish I had photos to scrapbook of those wonderful memories but they are all on reel to reel!!

You can ty dye easter eggs with REINKER!! Simply wet a piece of cloth and drop dots of color onto the material (maybe a strong paper towel will work--Bounty you can get wet, wring out, it COULD work (I feel like a commercial for Jolly Rancher and Bounty--LOL)) when the cloth is all saturated, remove and see what a great egg!!

After we made the eggs we had an easter egg hunt in the dark! My kids favorite Easter game. I bought it at Target a few years ago, but this is how you can do it--Spray glow in the dark paint OR put glow in the dark tape around plastic eggs. Hide them outside (I keep it to the front yard and driveway, don't want kids running amok in the street in the dark). Give each kid a basket and a flashlight. They have SO much fun! We do several easter egg hunts every year! (Just one of the reasons my kids LOVE having Easter at MY HOUSE--TEE HEE!)
